Well, it’s Friday, and apparently I decided to dress like a little ray of autumn sunshine today. 😂💛
Today’s outfit is all about that beautiful mustard gold—a color that feels warm, a little dramatic, and very much at home in October. And because I rarely leave well enough alone, there are a few extra details that make this look feel especially me.
A Little Flow, a Little Attitude ♡
The star of the show is my flowy mustard-gold top with those wonderfully dramatic cape sleeves. I love how the fabric moves! The black layer underneath and simple black leggings keep everything grounded, while a black belt with a gold double-circle buckle gives all that flowing fabric a little definition.
And the shoes? Oh, the shoes. 😂 Black platform heels with crisscross straps, grommet details, and an ankle strap. They’re a little bold, which I think balances all the softness of the top perfectly.
The Little Details
For jewelry, I chose my antique-gold medallion necklace on a black cord and gold hoop earrings. They pick up the warmth of the mustard color without competing with it.
My hair is pulled into a low ponytail with a mustard ribbon bow, because of course I couldn’t resist adding a bow. And my nails are shimmering mustard-gold almond nails—a little sparkle to tie the whole thing together.
Flowy, Feminine, Confident—Still Me!
That’s what I love about playing with clothes. One day it’s soft lace and romance; the next it’s flowing gold fabric with a little edge. I don’t think we have to pick just one version of ourselves when getting dressed.
Today, I’m feeling a little sunshine, a little autumn, and a whole lot of why not wear the fun shoes? 😂💛
