Some mornings I get dressed and immediately think, yes, this is the outfit.
Today was not one of those mornings. 😂
I felt bloated, everything I tried seemed to fit wrong, and I was rapidly approaching that dangerous point where half the closet ends up on the bed and somehow I’m still standing there saying, “I have nothing to wear.”
So I stopped fighting with my clothes and went with something easy.
❧ Comfortable Can Still Be Cute ❧
I pulled out my loose teal button-up blouse and left it exactly as it was meant to be: untucked, unbelted, and not asking anything of my stomach today. 😂
That was honestly the whole goal. I wanted something that skimmed instead of squeezed, but I still wanted to feel put together enough for work. The little shoulder tabs, pockets, and metallic buttons give the blouse enough structure that it doesn’t feel sloppy, even though it’s wonderfully forgiving.
I paired it with simple black leggings, which kept the bottom half fitted and balanced out the flowier top.
❧ And Then I Added the Pretty Things ❧
Because apparently even on a “nothing fits and I don’t want to think about clothes” day, I am physically incapable of leaving well enough alone. 😂
The black strappy heels instantly made the outfit feel more intentional, and I kept the accessories silver to play off the cool teal: my little silver bow earrings and the big butterfly clip tucked into my messy twist.
Nothing complicated. Nothing squeezing my waist. Nothing I had to spend the whole day adjusting.
Just comfortable clothes with enough pretty details to make me feel like myself.

❧ The “Nothing Fits Right” Outfit ❧
And maybe that’s worth remembering: not every outfit has to be a whole production.
Yesterday I was very much MUSTARD! BOWS! GOLD! LOOK AT MY SHOES! 😂 Today I needed easy.
Both are still me.
Some days getting dressed is about creating the cutest outfit you can think of. Other days it’s about finding something that feels good on the body you woke up in that morning—and then maybe adding ridiculously cute earrings because you can.
Today’s outfit: relaxed teal button-up blouse, black leggings, black strappy heels, silver bow earrings, and a silver butterfly hair clip.
Do you have a go-to outfit for the days when absolutely nothing in your closet seems to feel right?
